Letter from William Wallace Pettigrew to Andrew Alexander Pettigrew, 6th January 1933

Letter from William Wallace Pettigrew, to Andrew Alexander Pettigrew, 6th January 1933. Andrew was writing on board the S.S. Viceroy of India whilst on a cruise in the Carribean. He describes how his wife Ruth is finding the heat trying. He outlines the course of the cruise out from England via Bermuda where he visited the Agricultural Station and then on to Jamaica where he describes people met during visits to Hope Bot[anic] Gardens and Castleton Bot[anic] Gardens. He looks forward to the next port of call at Antigua and then Dominica where he hopes to meet a fellow student who he first met whilst studying at Kew Gardens.
