Press release from Alberta Victoria Sarah Caroline Windsor-Clive, May 1916


Text for press release written in pen and ink on three folded, lined sheets of paper, dated May 1916 from Alberta Victoria Sarah Caroline Windsor-Clive, Countess of Plymouth. She is seeking public support in setting up a Horticultural Relief Fund in Glamorgan the monies to be used to re-establish horticultural industries destroyed during WWI in European countries such as Belgium, Northern France & Serbia. She suggests owners of gardens should raise money for the Fund by opening them to the public and announces her intention of opening the gardens at the family home in St Fagans. This document was probably sent to A.A. Pettigrew to distribute to the press.
