Letter from Andrew Alexander Pettigrew to Ivor Miles Windsor-Clive, 29th July 1928

Copy made by Andrew Alexander Pettigrew of a letter he sent to Ivor Miles Windsor-Clive, 2nd Earl of Plymouth, 29 July 1928. Draft written in pencil on one double-sided lined sheet of paper, the letter relates to the near nervous breakdown, induced by Malaria, of Andrew's brother, Hugh Allan Pettigrew, and is a plea to Hugh's employer, Ivor Miles Windsor-Clive, to allow Hugh to accompany Andrew on a holiday to Germany. Andrew had already prepared for the holiday and had originally planned to take his nephew, 'young Andrew' Hugh Pettigrew with him, now abandoned in favour of his father.
