Biographical notes

The Christening of Hannah is recorded in the Birtsmorton Parish Register and took place on the 16 SEP 1810, parents Charles Bull and Elizth.

Hannah has so far not been traced in the 1841 Census, but she is recorded in the 1851 Census living at 7, High Street, Bristol, with her two sisters Maria and Sophia. The record is; Hannah Bull, Head, U, 40, Straw Bonnet Maker, Milliner, Birtsmorton, Worcestershire.

In the 1861 Census, she is still living in Bristol (38, College Green), with her sister Sophia and has the description; Hannah Bull, Head, U, 48, Milliner employing 5 Hands, Worcestershire.

She has not been traced in the 1871 Census but in the 1881 Census she is living at 1 Bourne Street, Eastbourne, with her sisters Emma, Elizabeth and Jane Bull. She is recorded as Hannah Bull, Sister, U, 76 (actual age 71), Worcester Birtsmorton. Emma is described as a Lodging House Keeper and presumably her sisters were assisting.

The 1891 Census records all the sisters at the same address at Eastbourne with the addition of Sophia Bull, all un-married. Hannah is recorded as Hannah Bull, Sister, S, 80, Birtsmorton Worcestershire.

Hannah died in Eastbourne in the first quarter of 1892 with a recorded age of 81.
