Biographical notes

According to an un-sourced batch of records on the LDS website, Ann's christening took place on the 07 MAY 1826, in Worcester, parents recorded as Charles Bull and Elizabeth.

No record of Ann Bull has been recognised in the 1841 Census and the earliest record seems to be her marriage to Thomas Proffitt in the last quarter of 1848 (Shoreditch), indicating that like her brothers Charles and George, she had moved from the Midlands to London.

In the 1851 Census, the family are living at 28 Upper Clissand Street, Shoreditch, London; Thomas Proffitt, Head, M, 26, Horse Collar Maker, Staffordshire Walsall; Ann Proffitt, Wife, M, 24, Worcestershire Burchmorton; John Proffitt, Brother, U, 21, Horse Collar Maker, Walsall; Elizabeth Bull, Sister [in law], U, 25, Kitlar[?], Burchmorton.

Their son Thomas Proffitt died in the second quarter of 1863

The 1881 Census is the last in which the family as a whole is recorded.
