Alexander Pettigrew is recorded in the 1841 Census living with his parents in Content Street, age 15, occupation Hand Loom Weaver.

In the 1851 Census he is still living with his parents in Content Street, age 25, occupation Weaver-Cotton

In the 1861 Census an Alexander Pettegrew is recorded as age 38, Woollen Weaver, born Ayr, Ayrshire, living as a lodger 10 Eglinton Lane, Tradeston, Govan Glasgow.

No trace in 1871 or later Census returns. Can't find a statutory record of death.
