Biographical notes

Janet is not listed in the 1841 Census with the rest of the family which suggests that she may not have survived.

In the 1851 Census a Janet Pettigrew is living at the School House, Cathcart, Renfrewshire, aged 16, born St Quivox and working as a House Servant for the Parochial Teacher Andrew Carnduff. Birth year of 1835 is incorrect. Would seem unlikely (need to see the original image and get a proper reference). Can't be traced in the 1871 Census.
