Handwritten copy made by Andrew Pettigrew of a lecture he gave to the Royal Horticultural Society in 1891 on 'The Vineyard at Castle Coch', twenty eight pages of lined paper, each handwritten on one side only, in blue ink. The notes describe his research visit to vineyards in France and how the results were used in the subsequent planting of vineyards for the Marquis of Bute in the vicinity of Castle Coch, South Wales.
