Pettigrew, I thought it best to send you Polly yesterday as she seemed to be upsetting the dogs here & as we have friends it would have made things difficult. I hope you will be able to have her with you a good deal as she is not used to

being alone & would feel it if she were shut away. I don't expect it will be really necessary to shut her up. Will you let me know when you think she is alright.

If there are any strawberries at Hewell [Grange] will you send them. The peas we have had have been excellent.
