Biographical notes

First spouse Charlotte, may have died in childbirth in 1856, the same year as a female child which died after 10 days. Susan Roberts was Edwards second of three wives. She must have died sometime after the birth of her second child, Charlotte, in 1867, and before the birth of Christopher Crowe by Edward's third wife Harriet Carlton in 1875.
