Biographical notes

Maria's Christening took place on the 13 SEP 1812 at Birtsmorton, Worcestershire, and her parents Charles Bull and Elizth were recorded in the Parish register.

No record of Maria has been traced in the 1841 Census, but in the 1851 Census she is recorded as being unmarried, aged of 38, living at 7, High Street, Bristol with her two sisters Hannah and Sophia. All have the occupation of Straw Bonnet Makers. The record is; Maria Bull, Sister, U, 38, Straw Bonnet Maker, Milliner Birtsmorton Worcestershire.

No record for Maria has been traced in the 1861 Census but in the 1871 Census she is recorded living at Blackheath Park, London; Maria Bull, Servant, U, 58, Cook Dom Servant, Birtsmorton Worcestershire.

In 1881 Maria has moved to 58, Seaside, Eastbourne (not far from her four other sisters in Bourne Street); Maria Bull, Visitor, U, 68, no occupation, Birtsmorton Worcestershire.

Maria died at Eastbourne in the first quarter of 1891 with a recorded age of 78.
