Biographical notes

All that is known about Sarah comes from a record of her marriage to John Tillcock on the 14 May 1836 as recorded in the Thundridge parish registers, the 1841 Census return of the family in the Bell Inn at Widford and her early death in 1850. The census return indicates that she was not born in Hertfordshire but there is no other clue to her place of birth
