Biographical notes

From the Parish Registers it would seem that after the marriage of Robert and Jean, in Mauchline in 1802, their first child Robert was registered in the same parish in 1804. Thereafter they moved to Loudoun where their second child Elizabeth was born in 1805. Their next child Magdalene was born in 1807 in Kirkoswald. Their last two children were born in St Quivox. No records have been found for Robert Kennedy and all other information comes from his daughter Elizabeth's birth (Parish Register) and death certificates where we learn that he was a ploughman/labourer and married to Jean Hunter. He probably travelled around the parishes with his family looking for work.
