Apparently married three times. First marriage to Sarah Chilmore (born 1812 died 5 March 1841), about 1837 (first and only child William Richard Hill born 27 December 1838. (when he would have been 29) and 1841 He married Ann Evans in 1842 and is described as a widower in the entry in the 1842 marriage register. No details of this first marriage yet traced apart from information provided by Susan Hill (30.10.2009). Third marriage to Mary Ann Winch in 1884 a year after the death of Ann. Christening data from Spaxton baptism transcriptions on line. Parents William Hill (mason) of Over Stowey and Sarah Palmer who were married in Spaxton 11.3.1802. Profession was that of Gardener.
